Here is a nice bare bones look at some earthworks and water systems in a semi suburban area.

Working with Nature

This video demonstrates the earthworks to create a water harvesting storage system in suburban Crowley Texas.

Nicholas Burtner shows us how he tied into street drainage to gather water by way of a gabion that diverts water into his swale system which then overflows back into the city diversion drain once the swale system is full.

This is exceptionally good use of systems already in place to construct systems which benefit us.
